A Single Bottle a Day Instead of Pills: The Liquid Design of SANBIDAM Premium

The company explains that it chose a liquid because the product is taken after meals and mixes quickly with food. Quality is controlled to a specification for the marker compounds loganin and 4-HBA.

ONDAM BIO has explained why it made "SANBIDAM Premium," which uses an ingredient from NINEB, a subsidiary of Ajou University's technology holding company, as a liquid rather than a tablet or powder. The company says the decision took into account the way the product is taken, not just convenience.
A formulation suited to taking after meals
According to an ONDAM BIO official, the first reason for choosing a liquid is that it mixes quickly with food right after it is taken. The product is taken after meals, and the official said a tablet that dissolves late in the stomach runs counter to the design intent. Tablets break down at different times in different people, and some people find swallowing pills difficult in itself.
The second reason is the amount and the burden of taking it. Putting 1,600 mg of Cornus extract complex and 10,000 mg of dietary fiber into tablets would mean splitting them into several pills a day. Many middle-aged and older adults already take several supplements or medicines, so this approach is hard to turn into a habit. SANBIDAM Premium was designed to be finished with one 50 ml bottle a day, with no need to drink water separately or to remember several doses a day.
Quality set by marker compounds
The quality of the ingredient in each bottle is controlled by marker compounds. Loganin is the reference compound for Cornus and 4-HBA for Ribes fasciculatum leaf, and each production batch must meet a set mg/g specification. Even the same raw material can differ in composition depending on where it is grown and when it is harvested, so the company says it fixes the specification to keep the same quality in every batch.
The ingredient, the Cornus extract complex, blends domestically grown Cornus fruit and Ribes fasciculatum (chilhaemok) leaf at a 7 to 3 ratio and was developed by NINEB over seven years. It is an MFDS individually approved functional ingredient (No. 2022-26, body fat reduction). With 10,000 mg of resistant maltodextrin, a water-soluble dietary fiber, added, SANBIDAM Premium carries four functional claims: body fat reduction, suppression of the rise in blood glucose after meals, improvement of blood triglyceride levels, and support for regular bowel movements.
- A liquid formulation was chosen because the product is taken after meals and mixes quickly with food
- Combined ingredient 1,600 mg + resistant maltodextrin 10,000 mg in one 50 ml bottle a day
- Loganin and 4-HBA marker compound mg/g specification keeps quality the same in every batch
Note SANBIDAM Premium functionality — Cornus extract complex: may help reduce body fat / Resistant maltodextrin: may help suppress the rise in blood glucose after meals, may help improve blood triglyceride levels, and may help support regular bowel movements. Health functional foods are not medicines for preventing or treating disease.
